This is what happened this morning in Melito Antonia Napolitano, commander of the Local Police, confronted with violence, together with the officers who were with her, while they were busy seizing gift material for the Women's Day, displayed on the sidewalk and in the street, in defiance of the most basic rules of civil living.
This is what the mayor of Melito di Napoli denounces in a note, Luciano Mottola. The following then arrived on site Carabinieri of the Marano Company to assist the Municipal Police and complete the seizure. The alleged author of the threats was subsequently tracked down and identified.
"A horrifying episode, which involved two women, both positive and negative, on March 8th. Today we should be here talking about something else, but instead we have to comment on a sad story - declared the mayor Luciano Mottola - Full solidarity with the Commander of the Local Police, Antonia Napolano, and all the officers, committed, as they are every day, simply to carrying out their duty to uphold the law in an area that has been abandoned to its own devices for too long.
