Yesterday and last night the agents of the General Prevention Office of the Police Headquarters of Napoli and local police personnel carried out checks in the area of the “chalets” of Mergellina.
During the operations, 336 people were identified, 169 vehicles were checked, of which two were subjected to administrative seizure and 5 to administrative detention, and 34 violations of the Highway Code were contested for driving without a license, lack of insurance coverage, careless entrustment of a vehicle, driving without a helmet, failure to have a periodic inspection, failure to respect red lights, lack of circulation documents, driving on the sidewalk and failure to respect vertical signs.
In addition, two cars were towed away because they were parked in illegal parking areas.
During the operation, the police reported a Neapolitan with a criminal record because he was caught again practicing the activity of illegal parking attendant and for failure to comply with the DACUR provisions (prohibition of access to urban areas) to which he is subjected; finally, they reported two other people for driving without a license because they never obtained it, having repeated the violation in the two-year period.
