An 18 year old presented himself to the Carabinieri of the police station Melito admitting his involvement in the wounding of the 17-year-old treated last night at the CTO hospital in Naples.

According to initial reports, the injury occurred on Via Monte Rosa, in the Scampia neighborhood, in the northern part of the city.

The motive for the attack is still unclear. The 18-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault and illegal possession of a weapon.

Investigations are continuing to reconstruct the incident. The injured 17-year-old was deemed fit to recover in eight days from a superficial laceration to his right hemithorax and was released to his parents.
