The officers of the San Lorenzo Operational Unit and the motorcyclists of the Territorial Intervention Group of the local Police carried out a series of checks in the area of Municipality 4.
Eight fines were issued with related seizure of the vehicles due to lack of insurance, eight for lack of documents, three for lack of MOT, fifteen for motorcyclists without helmets, four for driving without a license, one for driving an unregistered vehicle, two with related seizure for lack of REVE (Register of Vehicles Registered Abroad), and one for driving a vehicle already subject to seizure.
Officers then intervened in Piazza Nolana to verify the permits of a restaurant business, noting the presence of an illegal structure outside the premises, built to significantly increase its capacity. The structure was seized, and the restaurant's manager was reported for violating building laws and regulations.
Following inspections extended to other businesses in the area, four additional tickets were issued for illegal occupation of public land. Officers, along with Asia personnel, intervened on Via Firenze, Via Torino, and Corso Novara near the Food Hall, where they removed tons of waste, including shoes, clothing, and other items previously salvaged from the garbage to supply the area's illegal markets.
Inspections of non-scheduled transportation were also carried out in the Central Station area and at Capodichino Airport. These inspections revealed eleven violations of the Highway Code and municipal regulations, and identified two illegal operators who were transporting tourists for a fee using their private vehicles.
