Radical sweeping and washing of sidewalks and streets in the absence of parked cars is planned in Naples.
The experimental phase of the Clean District 15 initiative will begin on March 2023, during which all abandoned waste will be removed and a radical cleaning will be carried out even under the bells. In this first phase, the program plans to carry out radical sweeping and washing of sidewalks and streets in the absence of parked cars on approximately 60 main and secondary roads.
Therefore, a special ordinance will establish a temporary parking ban for cars from 7:00 to 12:00 and the municipal police will proceed to fine and/or remove parked cars. In some areas, a mobile vehicle will also be positioned where residents of the affected neighborhood can deliver all the bulky waste they intend to get rid of.
The calendar of interventions will be disseminated both through local communication with the posting of specific posters, and through the social channels and websites of the Municipality of Naples and Asia.
Clean Quarter 2023, promoted by Mayor Gaetano Manfredi, is an initiative coordinated by the Councilor for Health and Green with responsibility for livability and urban hygiene, Vincenzo Santagada, in collaboration with the Councilor for Municipal Police and Legality, Antonio De Iesu and in synergy with Asia, the municipal police and the Municipalities.
