Yesterday afternoon, the agents of the General Prevention Office, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Centre, intervened at a post office in the Umberto I Gallery for a report of a person who had presented a false document to obtain a prepaid credit card.
The operators, having arrived on site, were approached by the office manager who indicated the reported man, therefore they checked him but he himself, during the identification phase, provided false personal details.
Furthermore, they found the man in possession of an identity document bearing his effigy but registered to another person, as well as a health card bearing the same data as the counterfeit document.
GP, a 39-year-old from Arpino with a criminal record, was arrested for possession of false identification documents and false statements regarding personal identity, as well as reported for receiving stolen goods and impersonation.
