The 16-year-old who slashed his 13-year-old ex-girlfriend in the face with a knife last summer has been sentenced to five years and four months in prison.
The injured young woman had decided to break off the relationship with that boy, the son of a prominent figure in the camorra of Montecalvario. And this affront could not be tolerated: this is why the boy decided to take revenge in his own way.
Yesterday the sentence arrived - as Il Mattino reports - handed down by judge Anita Polito of the Juvenile Court of Napoli, at the request of the prosecutor Emilia Galante Sorrentino, who had asked for as many as eight years in prison with the aggravating circumstance of premeditation.
The boy, defended by criminal lawyer Domenico Dello Iacono, also tried to apologize during the trial, making it clear that he had undertaken a rehabilitation program in prison.
