Over 2.000 packages of drugs seized, lacking any certification required by national and community legislation.
It is the result of an operation carried out by officials of the Naples Customs and Monopolies Agency, 1 on duty at Capodichino airport, in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza of the Naples Provincial Command.
Two Ukrainian sisters, who arrived in the Campania capital from Poland, had 157 packages of medications used in the female beauty industry, mostly lip fillers, in their luggage. Additionally, two Bangladeshis, arriving from their home country via Istanbul and Dubai, had over 2.000 packages of various medications, including anti-inflammatories, antivirals, and antipsychotics.
The products, with a total value of approximately 70.000 Euro based on the prices practiced on the pharmaceutical market, were seized and the 4 foreigners were reported for illegally introducing drugs into the national territory.
