Completed at Napoli the redevelopment of Piazza Vittoria and Piazza della Repubblica, carried out with the collaboration of the municipalities, environmental police, Asia and associations. “It is an example of a beautiful collaboration between public and private with a significant commitment because they guarantee the maintenance of the greenery”.
Thus the mayor of the Campania capital Gaetano Manfredi who, on the sidelines of the event to present the work carried out, emphasized the value for which similar collaborations "can provide a concrete response even to the small problems of the city in which decorum is fundamental". Also at the event was the municipal councilor with responsibility for Green Vincenzo Satagada for whom "the best forces of society and citizenship", together with partnerships such as those established in Piazza Vittoria, are levers to recover "not only the green areas but to give the right decorum to the city".
Still visible in the square are some barriers to allow the completion of the repaving. The deadline for the completion of the work is set for the arrival in the city of the Giro d'Italia (the stage will take place next Thursday, May 11, ed.). The redevelopment was completed in the last few days with the completion of the irrigation systems, the redevelopment of the grass and the planting of new tree species consistent with the existing system; the cleaning of the tuff kerbs and the recovery of the benches have completed the overall extraordinary redevelopment of these important areas which will be followed by ordinary maintenance, including sweeping, which will contribute to maintaining the decorum of the two squares.
“For some time now – underlined the president of the association 100% Naples Projects & Crowfunding, Ettore Morra – we have wanted to commit ourselves to improving the city and we have seized this opportunity to make our contribution. We are working to recover seven squares because we believe that greenery is a strategic infrastructure”. The redevelopment of these sites is in addition to those being completed at Rotonda Diaz, the Giardini di Mergellina, Piazza Sannazzaro, Piazza Carlo III and Piazza Nazionale.
