The Salerno Highway Police arrested a man red-handed after he had just committed a robbery at the motorway service station at the Torre Annunziata Ovest service area on the A3 Naples-Salerno motorway.
The arrest occurred during the traffic police's intensified enforcement efforts to combat petty crime and widespread illegality following the robberies of service stations on the A3 motorway, which, targeted by criminals, suffered four robberies in just two days.
The arrest took place on March 4th. The stolen goods were recovered and returned to their rightful owners. The prosecutor on duty at the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office ordered the robber placed under house arrest, pending a summary trial.
