Over the weekend, the Naples Local Police patrolled the city's main nightlife hotspots.
In the areas of Chiaia, Vomero, Centro Storico and San Lorenzo, 11 fines were issued to owners of catering establishments that violated the noise impact requirements, for occupation of land without a title and in violation of the law, failure to separate waste and dumping outside of opening hours, advertising signs without authorization and sale of alcohol without authorization.
On the front of checks on the Highway Code, checkpoints in the nightlife areas and in particular in Piazza Municipio, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Vittoria, Piazza Nazionale and Piazza S. Francesco allowed the check of 216 vehicles and the issuing of 198 fines for driving without a license, lack of insurance coverage, lack of documents necessary for circulation, illegal parking and other violations.
But also the seizure and administrative detention of 3 vehicles and the removal of 44 cars with crane trucks, as an accessory sanction for illegal parking, 5 illegal parking attendants fined.
During the checks in Piazza Nazionale, a person was stopped who was subjected to the precautionary measure of the obligation to sign at the Carabinieri of S. Pietro a Patierno with consequent reporting to the Surveillance Magistrate of Napoli.
In Piazza San Francesco, a moped with a rider without a helmet was stopped and a bag containing seven cell phones without SIM cards was found in the saddle. The source of these phones was not disclosed. The officers seized the devices and notified the Judicial Authority. Further investigation revealed that the individual had a criminal record for receiving stolen goods.
Furthermore, self-propelled patrols were used until midnight in Piazza Garibaldi, in order to counter the critical issues in the area and the illegal markets of second-hand goods.
