The Carabinieri of the NAS of Naples, as part of investigations into the food sector, together with personnel from the ASL (Local Health Authority), carried out an inspection of an ethnic restaurant in the province.
In the kitchen, the presence of dirt spread and accumulated on the floors, on the work surfaces, on the utensils used for handling and preparing food was detected. Furthermore, the preparation and storage of food took place in environments with very poor hygienic conditions, with serious damage to public health.
Therefore, the business, worth approximately 500 thousand euros, was suspended and approximately a ton of food was seized.

Furthermore, the Carabinieri of the NAS inspected a pastry shop in the province together with the ASL staff, where structural inadequacies had already been found during a previous inspection. At the time of the inspection, the military noted again the lack of toilets and changing rooms for employees.
Therefore, at the end of the inspection, the business owner was reported administratively and to the health authority, and the pastry shop was suspended.
