The custody order against Ciro Marrazzo, a 23-year-old from Naples, was executed at Fiumicino airport. He will have to answer for the crimes of attempted murder in competition, possession and illegal carrying of a weapon.
Marrazzo was among the 4 recipients of the order issued by the investigating judge of Naples at the request of the Neapolitan DDA and executed last January 26 by the Carabinieri of the investigative unit of Naples, but he was detained abroad, in a penitentiary in Greece.
Following the acceptance of the extradition request, the 23-year-old returned to Italy on a flight that landed at Rome Fiumicino airport, where the military took charge of him and then took him to the Civitavecchia prison.
According to the reconstruction of the Naples DDA, Marrazzo would be the instigator of the wounding of Nicola Minieri, 23 years old, which occurred on November 29, 2019; Minieri was considered responsible, together with others, for the damage to Marrazzo's motorcycle.
A few hours later, Minieri himself and his brother Ciro took revenge by committing the attempted murder of Antonio Giarnieri, a person completely unrelated to the events under investigation and to organised crime circles, but brother of Mario, another recipient of the order as he was considered the material perpetrator of Minieri's wounding.
