The military personnel of the Carabinieri Forestale station of Marigliano, together with the staff of the ASL of Marigliano and the Occupational Medicine of Pomigliano D'Arco, carried out an inspection in Nola of a business dedicated to the production, preparation, packaging and distribution of fresh and frozen foods.
At the end of the checks, carried out as part of a broader plan of checks ordered by the command of the Carabinieri Forestale Group of Naples, two quintals of food that according to the investigators would have been packaged using water without documentation certifying its wholesomeness, were seized for subsequent destruction.
In the continuation of the control, in an area of 400 meters outside the company, waste was found in a state of abandonment, partly deposited on bare ground and exposed to the elements. For the military, moreover, part of the waste would have been burned.
The company yard where the waste was was seized for subsequent cleanup. The owner of the company was reported for poor food storage, abandonment of waste and burning of waste.
