A fundraiser has been launched on the GoFundMe platform to help the family of Abele Hivett, the 38-year-old Neapolitan man who was hit and killed in the Cayman Islands, with funeral expenses.
The media reported that he had lived a life in Napoli, in the Spanish Quarters, before moving to the Cayman Islands where, last March 8, he was hit while he was riding his bike by a driver who later tested positive for alcohol. Abele died shortly after, at night, in hospital.
“Little brother, Naples greets you, your chosen family loves you and remembers you with a smile on their face,” reads the numerous messages of condolence on social media.
Meanwhile, the fundraiser launched by Fausto Pietropaoli for Abele's family has received dozens of donations, reaching 7.200 euros. It can be reached at the link https://gf.me/v/c/gfm/help-abeles-family
