Approximately eleven quintals: this is the quantity of waste recovered over the weekend on the seabed of the western pier of the port of Torre del Greco.
The operation took place during a clean-up activity coordinated by the local Coast Guard and carried out in collaboration with the volunteer associations Arcipesca and Centro Sub Torre del Greco and with the support of the competent sector of the Campania Region, while the waste was disposed of by the Municipality.
From what we understand, most of the waste consisted of glass bottles, plastic, ferrous material and wood.
During the operations, the presence of five tires was also detected, three of which were of considerable size, probably belonging to articulated trucks, deposited on the seabed for some time, which, again through the coordination of the Coast Guard, were recovered and then sent to the landfill with the help of a crane made available by the Ceparano company.
