As part of their territorial control activities, the personnel of the Central Environmental and Investigative Operations Unit of the Local Police proceeded to seize the construction site area of the Sports Hall called Palargento in Via Barbagallo in Fuorigrotta.
In the days preceding the seizure, a delegation of students from the ISS Vittorio Emanuele II, a school complex bordering the former sports hall, had been received by the Sports and Equal Opportunities Commission and had reported the presence of a large quantity of waste, including asbestos products, dumped during the night by unknown persons inside the construction site.
The first visual checks carried out by the specialist department of the Local Police did not reveal the presence of cement artifacts containing the dangerous fiber but, to dispel any doubts, we will have to wait for the results of the analyses that Arpa Campania will carry out. In the meantime, the white helmets continue their investigations aimed at identifying the perpetrators of the crime.
