A Napoli there are fewer and fewer spaces for children and those that exist are often reduced to terrible conditions such as the play area of Santa Chiara which has become a rubbish dump.
“I am contacting you to inform you of the disgusting conditions in which children are forced to live in an area that should be dedicated to them. This is the cloister of Santa Chiara, children are forced to play among human excrement and objects left there by people who certainly use it as a home.” - this is what a mother reported to the deputy of the Green-Sinistra alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
"We have requested to intervene by cleaning the area and to provide controls to safeguard what should be a space for the little ones. The areas dedicated to children are increasingly fewer and this shows the little value that is given to the new generations that instead should be protected. We need more spaces for the little ones and they also need to be cared for, maintained and supervised" - these are the words of Borrelli.
