Arpaia/Paolisi. Sex with 12-year-old student, 40-year-old teacher sentenced.
A forty-year-old teacher was sentenced to three years and four months in prison Benevento, already under house arrest since last September on charges of aggravated sexual assault on a 12-year-old student both at school and via WhatsApp chat.
The sentence was issued by the Court of Benevento, at the end of the trial which was held with the abbreviated procedure.
The investigations began at the end of March 2022, after the principal's complaint, which was followed by that of the parents of the boy, who attends a middle school in Valle Caudina.

According to the investigators' reconstructions, the teacher, abusing the student's inferior position and her authority as a teacher, would have induced the boy to commit and undergo sexual acts.
The relationships would have taken place at school, taking advantage of moments when the two were alone, but there would also have been an exchange of pornographic photos and videos in chat.
Following the start of the investigation, the woman's and the boy's cell phones were seized and their contents analyzed.
Thanks to the work of the IT consultants of the Prosecutor's Office, the content of some chats on WhatsApp was recovered, including conversations, photos and videos that had been deleted from the 12-year-old's device; according to the reconstructions, it was the teacher who ordered the student to make everything disappear.
