The theatre celebrates women with debates, dialogues and readings on the female condition and with “Rumore di fondo”, a show on femicide directed by Nadia Baldi

Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th March

“Beyond March 8” is the title of the “two days” of speeches, dialogues, readings and shows with which the Trianon Viviani “celebrates women” with a participatory discussion on the female condition.

With this initiative, Marisa Laurito, the artistic director of the theater, wants to give voice to women and network and synergize many associations and many women who have always been committed to rights and freedom and against gender violence and femicide.

The show “Rumore di fondo”, directed by Nadia Baldi, on stage on Wednesday 8 March at 21 pm, is dedicated to this last dramatic phenomenon.

Produced by Teatro Segreto and premiered in 2020 at the Campania Teatro Festival, the text, written by Benedetta Palmieri, is inspired by the life of Carmine Ammirati, a boy orphaned by femicide, and was born from the artistic encounter between the visions of the composer Ivo Parlati and the creative world of the director.

The text tells the tragic story of Carmine's mother, killed after many complaints filed in vain: with the terror "that all the deaths threatened with extreme clarity, inevitably turn into confirmed deaths: twelve, twelve, twelve complaints, mine, twelve! Enough to make me feel not a victim of femicide, but a victim of the state".

On stage Gea Martire, Antonella Ippolito and Davide Paciolla and the extraordinary participation of Ammirati himself.

The music is performed live by Parlati himself (drums and electronics), with Martino Onorato (piano and keyboards) and Matteo Pezzolet (double bass and electric bass).
