The Municipality of Naples was honored at the Campidoglio in Rome, at the "Healthy, Sustainable School Canteen Summit," which took stock of school dining by identifying the municipalities that invest most in the quality of school meals, according to data from the Foodinsider Observatory, and rewarding those that stood out for their best practices.
The recognition was awarded to the Municipalities of Naples and Venice which distinguished themselves "for adopting a sustainable solution for the use of school canteen tableware.
A solution that allows families to participate in organizing the service, reducing costs and environmental impacts by avoiding the use of compostable tableware that generates additional waste or avoiding the use of energy for washing industrial tableware.
