As part of the promotion of the contemporary art heritage of the municipality of Pietrelcina, the current municipal administration has decided to donate to the civic museum, located in Palazzo De Tommasi-Bozzi, a painting by Antonio Del Donno, received as a gift from the institution and kept in the town hall, depicting San Pio da Pietrelcina.
The mayor, Salvatore Mazzone, underlined how the municipality of Pietrelcina has received various donations of contemporary works of art in recent years and how it is appropriate to allocate the most significant works to the civic museum.
The custody of the work has been entrusted to the Pietrelcina branch of the Archeoclub, a cultural association founded in 1987 and entrusted, with the authorization of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, with the materials deposited at the Palazzo De Tommasi-Bozzi.
The number of works by Antonio Del Donno present in Italian museums, particularly in those of Southern Italy, is therefore increasing.
