The journalist and host of "Quarto Grado" joins the Board of Experts for the national award promoted by the Municipality of Sorrento and dedicated to culture and the audiovisual sector.
Milan, 27 April 2023 – Alessandra Viero, host of “Quarto Grado”, the Friday evening appointment broadcast on Rete 4, joins the Board of experts who will support the artistic direction of the “Penisola Sorrentina” Award, promoted by the Sorrento municipal administration led by Massimo Coppola.
"The results achieved so far are exciting, but we hope to achieve many more," declared the Mayor of the coastal town in the last edition of the Award, who believes and invests heavily in culture to promote and consolidate its international image in the post-pandemic recovery.
Alessandra Viero, 42, worked for Corriere del Veneto and for the local broadcaster Rete Veneta as a presenter and correspondent. In 2008 she started working for Mediaset and since 2011 she has been one of the leading presenters of TGcom24. Since 2013 she has been part of the editorial team of Studio Aperto, where she produced various reports and hosted the 12:25 news. Since the same year the journalist has hosted, with Gianluigi Nuzzi, the program Quarto Grado on Rete 4. In 2022 she hosted some episodes of “Controcorrente” in place of Veronica Gentili.
The Mediaset journalist will be a consultant to the artistic director of the Mario Esposito Award, dealing with “strategic communication”.
Strategic communication promotes a process of value creation for all parties involved in an Organization and a stable relationship between them in the long term. This means, in the cultural field, a superior and prolonged added value in every type of action and relationship, with a particular focus on the female world.
"After being awarded as a journalist in 2014 and returning to Sorrento in 2022 as patron of the Sorrento Peninsula Award, this new role is particularly exciting. Looking back at the outstanding productions and women of our cinema, audiovisual, and entertainment industries will be a new source of honor for me. The Teatro Tasso will undoubtedly host a great evening, celebrating the culture and beauty of the Sorrento Peninsula, but also a celebration of women's determination and expertise. These two characteristics, combined, always make a difference ," commented the journalist and television host.
