Arzano – A courageous businessman, victim of extortion, reports and has his extortionists arrested. Four members of the 167 clan are arrested . Threats were also leveled against his mother after the complaint; the Anti-Camorra Committee of North Naples takes action.
An entrepreneur from Arzano, owner of the "Bellagio" nightclub , who had been subjected to demands for money from his extortionists, contacted the Frattamaggiore State Police. Officers quickly gathered serious evidence against four men and, on orders from the Naples Anti-Mafia Directorate , arrested them.
These are four high-ranking members of the Arzano 167 clan. The one arrested is Antonio Alterio, who was shot in the leg at a club in November 2021. He is also the brother of Gennaro and Raffaele, who were also jailed on April 24 of last year for being members of the 167 criminal syndicate, an offshoot of the Amato-Pagano family . The others arrested are Salvatore Lupoli, alias O' Trombone, Giuseppe Bussola, and Davide Pescatore, nicknamed Pall e Fierr, who is reportedly untraceable.
Request for a monthly bribe of 2 euros from the owner of the bar
The four, with typical mafia methods, allegedly attempted to impose a protection racket of around 2000 euros per month on a large commercial activity in the area. But the entrepreneur, without losing heart, went to the police station to report the incident.
The criminal situation in Arzano remains tense, especially following numerous releases from prison and the apparent lack of control by law enforcement, which appears to have relaxed its efforts to combat organized crime and other crimes.
