Investigations are underway to shed light on the death of a 49-year-old man found lifeless a few metres from the door of his home in Domicella , in the province of Avellino.
The alarm was raised late yesterday evening when a friend of the victim discovered the body on the stairs leading to the entrance of the home. Emergency medical services could only confirm the death. The Carabinieri and the prosecutor of the Avellino Public Prosecutor's Office , Massimo Del Mauro, arrived on the scene and ordered forensic tests to determine the cause of death.
The house, where the man lived alone, was placed under judicial seizure. The investigations for now do not exclude any leads, even if no elements of a context of violence have emerged.
