In April, the “Spring Concerts” series promoted by the “Anna Jervolino” association continues with five unmissable events. Tuesday, April 4 (19,30:XNUMX p.m.) the Pianofestival cycle returns to the Museo Campano in Capua, featuring a performance by Enrico Pace: the pianist will perform pieces by Beethoven, Schumann and Brahms.
A double appointment with the Musica da Camera cycle will follow, before returning to the Pianofestival. Saturday 15 April (19.30:XNUMX pm) again at the Museo Campano in Capua, the Goldberg Quartet (formed by Jingzhi Zhang and Giacomo Lucato violin, Matilde Simionato viola and Martino Simionato cello) accompanied by Olaf John Laneri on piano, will perform music by Schubert, Beethoven and Brahms.
On Sunday 16 April, at 11.30 am, we move to Maddaloni, in the rooms of the Archaeological Museum of Calatia, where the Goldberg Quartet will perform music by Verdi and Ravel.
Again on Sunday 16 April, but at 18.30 pm, we return to the Museo Campano in Capua, where the pianist Olaf John Laneri will perform music by Debussy and Ravel.
The last appointment of the month, finally, is for Sunday 23 April (11.30 am) at the Archaeological Museum of Calatia in Maddaloni, where for the A-Solo cycle Stefano Palamidessi on guitar will propose a program with music by Sor, Lobos, Albéniz and Torroba.
THE ARTISTS
Henry Pace
Born in Rimini, he studied at the Conservatory of Pesaro, where he also graduated in composition and orchestral conducting. He perfected his skills at the Piano Academy of Imola. His precious mentor, later, was the Belgian teacher Jacques de Tiège. After winning first prize at the Franz Liszt International Competition in Utrecht in 1989, he performed in renowned concert halls and at various international festivals. He has played with renowned international orchestras and has collaborated with various conductors. He regularly plays in a duo with the pianist Igor Roma and with the violinist Leonidas Kavakos, with whom he won the Abbiati Prize from the Italian critics for the recording of Beethoven's sonatas. As a soloist, he has recorded the first and second books - Switzerland and Italy - from Franz Liszt's Années de Pèlerinage.
Goldberg Quartet
Formed in 2021, it takes its name from the famous Bach variations, a piece that deeply binds its members and expresses the ideals of their music-making: refinement, simplicity and communicativeness.
Artist in residence at the Fondazione Società dei Concerti in Milan for the 2022/2023 season and at the Ticino festival, 2022 edition, he obtained the Special Jury Prize at the 2022 Marcello Pontillo Competition and a scholarship from the Stauffer Academy in Cremona for the two-year period 2020-2022. He was invited by the Pro Quartet association to the Nuit du Quatuor in Paris and was selected by the Quatuor Zaïde to participate in the International String Quartet Academy, working with important artists. He participated in the Zeist Music Days Festival. The ensemble is part of Le Dimore del Quartetto in which it held the inaugural concert of the project The String Circle and various concerts in Italy for the Rassegna Musica con Vista.
Olaf John Laneri
Born in Catania to a Sicilian father and a Swedish mother, he brilliantly completed his studies in Verona and perfected his skills in Italy and abroad, obtaining the qualification of Master at the Piano Academy of Imola. After several victories in national competitions, he graduated from the international competitions of Monza, Tokyo and Hamamatsu and in 1998 he won the 50th edition of the Busoni Competition in Bolzano (Second Prize with special distinction, the First Prize was not awarded). He was invited to play at the inauguration of the Library of the Sala Borsa in Bologna and in Berlin for the closing of the exhibition dedicated to the drawings (reunited for the first time) by Botticelli on Dante's Divine Comedy. He plays in a duo with the violinist Laura Marzadori and in the Trio Gustav with the violinist Francesco Comisso and the cellist Dario Destefano. He teaches piano at the Venice Conservatory.
Stefano Palamidessi
He studied guitar and composition, graduating from the Conservatory of S. Cecilia in Rome with top marks. He is the winner of over twenty international and national guitar competitions and performs as a soloist, with orchestra and in collaboration with prestigious soloists. He has recorded for over sixteen TV and radio stations around the world and has recorded fifteen CDs. Author of various essays and treatises including “Metodogia dello studio ed Esercizi per chitarra” and a publication on the studies of Fernando Sor, which inaugurated the Guitart series, he holds advanced courses in Italy and abroad and holds the chair of guitar at the Conservatory of Frosinone.
The “Spring Concerts” series is supported by the MiC – Directorate General for Entertainment and the Campania Region and benefits from the collaboration of the Regional Museums Directorate and the Museo Campano di Capua of the Province of Caserta.
