Two days ago at the Pignasecca, In the heart of Napoli, the shop 'With breadcrumbs or without' reopened, after a day of mourning for the killing of Giant Rose, the mother of the owner, the TikTok delicatessen owner Donato De Caprio. But he wasn't there.

And last night on his Facebook page Donato posted a video of thanks: Hi everyone, I wanted to thank you for your love and support. To me, you're not just followers, you're family. Your warm love is helping me so much. Thank you.

Then the messages about the future: I wanted to let you know that the Padua charity festival won't be going ahead because it's not the right time. I'll be taking a few more days off to post some videos, as is only right, at least for now. It won't be easy for me to face this new life. Losing a mother isn't easy, especially losing her like this is even harder. Thank you for everything you're doing for me.

This is how Donato De Caprio responded the other evening to Bruno Vespa's question on Porta a Porta, when Vespa asked the Neapolitan delicatessen owner and TikToker if he had any idea how his mother's murder could have happened.

"I was working, I got a call from my son that his grandmother wasn't feeling well, my son couldn't speak because he's a baby, and the lady downstairs told me, 'Come home, your mom isn't feeling well.'", DeCaprio said.

Once you get home "I didn't even have time to see it or go in because the police were already there and had blocked everything off." DeCaprio said he couldn't explain how the neighbor suspected of the murder could have gotten into the house ("my mother only opened the door for me and my sister") and that he didn't believe the murder was the result of jealousy over his success.

The investigating judge does not accept the request to transfer the murderer to a nursing home.

Meanwhile the investigating judge of Naples Thomas Perrella has ordered a psychiatric assessment against Stephanie Russolillo, the 47-year-old accused of the murder of Rosa Gigante, the 72-year-old visually impaired mother of Donato De Caprio, found lifeless last Tuesday, April 18, in her home in the neighborhood Pianura in Naples.

The judge, in ordering the 47-year-old's pre-trial detention, also ruled against initially applying for transfer to a nursing home. According to the Flying Squad's investigation, the woman is being treated at a mental health center in the city.
