Transportation plan, healthcare plan, security plan: the Campania Region is taking action and preparing to assume a central role in the great celebration planned for the city of Naples should the mathematical verdict on Luciano Spalletti's Azzurri win the Serie A championship next Sunday.
The main measures that will be implemented to ensure public safety first and foremost were presented this morning at Palazzo Santa Lucia. In this perspective, the general director of ASL Napoli 1, Ciro Verdoliva, revealed the plan to strengthen the local health system, which will also be able to count on the activation of a special radio network that will be used for any communications in the event that, due to the expected large participation, the telephone lines were to be overloaded.
All emergency rooms on alert
All emergency rooms in the area will be “on alert” with an increase in staff on duty, while in some strategic points of the city “health points” will be placed, first aid points whose presence will be signaled with lights that will project a red light vertically.

Near the “health points” there will be doctors, nurses, regional civil protection volunteers and security guards. Finally, in addition to an increase in medical transport (40 ambulances, 8 medical motorbikes, 2 golf carts), there will also be 65 pairs of “foot” rescuers, made up of a doctor and a nurse, who will thus be able to reach certain points of the city despite the expected overcrowding.
The president of Eav, Umberto De Gregorio, also spoke at the press conference at the headquarters of the Region, announcing a transport plan focused essentially on rail, given the inevitable difficulties in terms of traffic for buses and shuttles: the idea is to extend the operating hours of both the metro lines and the Phlegraean lines until midnight on Sunday.

“The meetings are moving forward minute by minute,” says the President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, who speaks of an investment of about half a million euros for healthcare and transportation alone.
To this will need to be added a security effort that will see the regional civil protection department on the front lines, channeling traffic flows and installing the necessary barriers: "We've had a request for 1.500 barriers, we have 500 available, and we need to procure the rest right now," the governor continued.
He then adds: "We need a general sense of responsibility in managing an event that promises to be extraordinary from every perspective. We need to decide—and for this reason De Luca hopes for a formal request from the Municipality or Prefecture—what kind of support is required, because we need to negotiate with the unions, define overtime, and above all, ensure the safety our workers demand. This is a significant investment, and as far as we're concerned, we're supporting the organization of these events to the fullest extent possible."
