Part of a road collapsed in the Caserta area, swallowing a car in transit. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon in Trentola Ducenta , on Via Cottolengo. During work at a private construction site for the demolition and reconstruction of a building, workers were excavating to create the foundations for the new building.
The land under construction collapsed, also involving part of the roadway. Bad luck wanted that, at the very moment of the collapse, a car with two women inside was passing along that stretch of road. The collapse caused the car to fall into the hole created for the foundations of the building, 'swallowed' by the ground, and which stopped its course only after several overturns. The two women were taken to the hospital, they suffered only minor injuries
