On the islands of Ischia and Procida, the first large-scale operation of the Carabinieri of the local company aimed at repressing crimes and monitoring tourist flows during the Easter holidays has concluded. Widespread checks both on land and at sea: 5 people reported with 202 people identified and 98 vehicles checked, administrative checks were not lacking.
During the operations, the Carabinieri of the Forio station surprised 3 people who had stolen an electric bike. The E-bike - worth 1.500 euros - was parked near the hydrofoil dock of the port of Casamicciola and was returned to its rightful owner.
The three men charged—a 52-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman, and a 46-year-old man from the Spanish Quarter of Naples, already known to law enforcement—have also been offered mandatory expulsion orders by the municipalities on the island of Ischia. The 52-year-old will also be charged with another theft.
In fact, from the investigations of the military who analyzed the video surveillance systems, it emerged that the man was responsible for a similar episode that occurred in Forio last March 24. In that case, the victim was a 48-year-old citizen who had parked his electric bike in Piazza Medaglie d'Oro.
The Procida station instead reported the general partner of a construction company that had employed an illegal worker, who was also reported because he was not legally present on the national territory.
The Carabinieri of Ischia together with Asl Napoli 2 Nord personnel have checked a commercial establishment in via Fondo Basso. For the manager, prescriptions for non-compliance with health and hygiene standards that must be resolved within 30 days.
The Ischia patrol boat checked 22 boats and identified 29 people. 11 sanctions were contested, including fishing in the marine protected area “Regno di Nettuno”.
