Juan Jesus , Napoli defender called up tomorrow to replace the suspended Kim , spoke at a press conference on the eve of the return match of the Champions League quarter-finals against Milan , scheduled for tomorrow at the Maradona.
Jesus: “They were smarter in the first leg, we have to be too”
"In the first leg, they tried to stir up a bit of controversy, but we responded on the pitch by playing football, and we'll have to do the same tomorrow, perhaps trying to be a little smarter, a little more cunning ," said the Brazilian. " And we'll also need 'cazzimma' to advance."
“We will also have to be careful of their counterattacks and keep the ball ourselves, playing our football and giving our best,” adds the Brazilian, who feels “at home in Naples , it feels like being in Brazil, there is a very important bond with the city”.
“We are aware of what we are doing, we still need a few lines to complete the book ,” he insists.
Jesus: “Absence Kim? I've always done mine”
“What gives us confidence?
The points earned in the league: if there's this difference, it means we've done a lot, that we have important qualities, " he continues. " We're playing at home, the result isn't difficult to overturn. I'm not saying it will be easy, but we're ready to advance: 90 minutes at the Maradona are a very long time."
“We must be aware of our qualities,” continued the Brazilian centre-back, who overturned a 4-1 defeat against Barcelona with Roma by winning 3-0 at the Olimpico. “ We're doing very well in the league, where we've earned 22 more points than Milan. We'll have to give our best and get through to the next round.”
“ Kim 's absence?
When Koulibaly left last year for the Africa Cup of Nations we were third and when he came back we were first. I have always done my part, I have always shown who I am, I know my qualities and I know I can help the team."
And on Osimhen 's return : "We'll have to make the most of him. He's got speed, grit, and he's the top scorer. He's confident; he's been out for a while, and now he's hungry to score."
