The famous American writer and cartoonist Jodi Picoult wrote that "in the space between a yes and a no, there is a whole life" and among the alleys, the cracks, the dawns and the sunsets of this hermetic and boundless area so subjective and personal, the very young and brilliant singer-songwriter, model and actress Alba, Neapolitan by adoption in London, amazes us again by drawing its boundaries in "No" (Delma Jag Records), her new single.
After having demonstrated his versatility by moving from the electro-lounge of his debut single “Ciao” to the overseas dance-pop of “Odiarti Anch'io”, the artist born in 2000 captures and fascinates by painting with his harmonious, delicate, yet energetic and penetrating vocals, a rainbow of independence and resourcefulness in an electro-pop key, with which he puts an end to all those disagreements and denials that cage us every day, preventing us from realizing our dreams – «once again I have broken the chains» -, giving life to a new chapter, to «another story that does not prohibit dreaming».
“No” that come from outside and like doors closed in our face leave us helpless before the choice of continuing or retreating along the path that leads to our fulfillment, but also refusals, denials and disapprovals that we address to ourselves every day, denying ourselves the possibility of being happy, pronouncing that long series of “no” that in reality conceal and hide the fear of asserting ourselves in life, from a professional, relational and personal point of view.
“This song ,” Alba states, “ is the story of all the “nos” we've received, both at work and on a personal level. But also of the ones we say to ourselves, because we've been taught that some things just need to be said “no,” or because sometimes we're afraid to say “yes” to something that isn't completely conventional, or to something that could turn our lives upside down.”
A song that invites us to break and abandon this vicious circle, encouraging us to trust ourselves without worrying too much about the difficulties that may arise - "I've been hoping for a stroke of luck for years now, the wheel has gotten stuck but I'm not afraid", thus freeing us from the fear of confessing our desires out loud - "and no I won't tell you or it won't come true" -, reclaiming our true nature - "you remember to love" - and definitively breaking down the barriers - "I'm launching this missile, I've destroyed the barrier" - that prevent us from fully realizing ourselves.

Biography
Alba, born Alba Giaquinto, is a Neapolitan singer-songwriter and actress who has adopted Rome. She has been passionate about music since she was a child, playing the drums and, at the age of 13, she began her training in the vocal field, studying singing. Four years later, she wrote her first unpublished lyrics, in English and Italian, and, shortly after, she began acting, highlighting the versatility of her Art that allows her to blend cinema, theater, TV series, composition and interpretation. At the beginning of 2022, she entered the homes of Italians by participating in the famous and very successful Rai production "Il Paradiso delle Signore" and, in May of the same year, she released her first official single, "Ciao", an open-hearted letter to oneself that leads the listener to a new self-awareness; a journey through the stages of subjugation and self-destruction to free oneself from the toxicity of relationships and be reborn, from one's own ashes and from the world. In 2023, having moved to London to continue her studies, the artist returns with “Odiarti Anch'io”, a black and white that deals with the delicate theme of psychological manipulation within a couple's relationship, urging the listener to free themselves from the burdens of the past to rebuild their identity starting from a good and healthy dose of self-love. Magnetic, gifted with a rare vocal grace, a delicate yet powerful timbre and an authorial ability capable of transfiguring personal experiences into universal narratives, Alba is one of the most interesting proposals of the new Italian female singer-songwriter.
