This night the Carabinieri of the company Napoli Center carried out a wide-ranging service in the Chiaia neighborhood and in the historic center. A 32-year-old and a 25-year-old already known to the police ended up in handcuffs.
The military personnel of the operational unit – alerted and “guided” by the provincial command centre – intervened in via Rampe Brancaccio in the offices of a company that deals with elevator repairs, blocking the 2. The man and the woman had managed to enter the premises
and they had taken a wallet from one of the employees with about a hundred euros inside.
Once stopped, the Carabinieri began their investigations and discovered that the two were in possession of a Fiat 2 with some credit cards and various valuable goods inside.
Cars and credit cards had been stolen in a home burglary that took place last April 12th in Corso Garibaldi. Unknown individuals had drugged the owner who was resting, thus stealing various goods and the keys to the vehicle.
In the 500 also other documents, objects and valuables proceeds of various thefts on which the Carabinieri are currently investigating to trace the legitimate owners. The arrested, transferred to the prisons of Poggioreale and Pozzuoli, are awaiting trial and will have to answer for aggravated theft and receiving stolen goods.
