On April 18, 2023 at 17:30 pm at the Conference Hall of the Monumental Complex of San Giovanni in Cava de' Tirreni, Luca Trapanese will present his latest book "The Adventures of the Sottosotto: a secret city under the 3C". Luca Trapanese, author of the book, will be interviewed by Angela Senatore, journalist of Ulisse online.
The book, published by Salani, is aimed at children aged 10 and up and tells the story of four friends Jo, Marta, Vera, Tommy and Bareggi, who are extremely different from each other. The only thing they have in common seems to be the school they attend and which hides a secret right under their feet: an immense labyrinth buried for over eighty years... Thanks to the guidance of an old diary and the help of an irreverent turtledove, the SottoSotto gang will find themselves united, against their will, to face the most unpredictable adventure ever and discover what happened to a mysterious little girl, who disappeared a long time ago, when that labyrinth represented the only shelter from the bombs of the Second World War.
An enthralling tale, which with a fast pace and irony, transports us into a world of breathtaking explorations, dangerous investigations and daring escapes in which the group, to get by, will have to learn mutual trust, overcome prejudices and use the skills and resources of each protagonist. A story that through the meeting of two generations allows us to welcome everything that makes us unique and special even when our uniqueness makes us feel different.
The initiative is organized in collaboration with the Association of People with Down Syndrome and Intellectual Disabilities and the Equal Opportunities Commission of the Municipality of Cava de' Tirreni, the Municipality that sponsored the initiative.
The mayor of Cava de' Tirreni, Vincenzo Servalli, the president of the
Equal Opportunities Commission Filomena Avagliano and APDD President Autilia Avagliano.
