The Naples DIGOS, coordinated by the first director Antonio Bocelli, has started investigations to identify those responsible for the posting of some upside-down photos of the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni , the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa , and the Ministers of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi and of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara , found in the city.

The State Police has already acquired the videos recorded by the video surveillance systems of the areas where the images were posted, near the monuments that commemorate the martyrs of the Four Days that led the Neapolitans to rebel against Nazism between 27 and 30 September 1943.

Next to the prime minister's image, the words "Ready! (to ruin the country)" appear , alluding to the campaign slogan. La Russa, on the other hand, is called the "president of the nostalgic ." Piantedosi is the "minister of deaths at sea ," while Valditara is the "minister of humiliation and repression ." Under all the photos, the words "Happy April 25th" appear.

Activists from 'Ex Opg – Je so' pazzo', a Neapolitan social center that founded Potere al Popolo, claimed responsibility for the attack. They wrote on their social media channels, " Naples is, and always will be, anti-fascist."
