The apartment where he lives Robert Spada It was seized this morning by the Carabinieri of the Ostia Group's Investigative Unit. The property, which the clan boss has occupied illegally since 2006 with his partner, is owned by the City of Rome and is located at Via Guido Vincon 27 in Ostia.
This morning, the military, acting on behalf of the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office, served notice of the order issued by the investigating judge of the Rome Court. The military also determined that the residence had an illegal connection to the public electricity grid. Roberto Spada, a prominent figure on the Roman coast, has already been convicted of domestic violence, the crime of which was aggravated by mafia methods, as will be recalled.
The investigation was also launched following the couple's referral to the Judicial Authority last March for aggravated electricity theft, committed by directly connecting the seized apartment to the utility company's supply network.

Subsequent investigations conducted by the Carabinieri revealed that the couple, in addition to stealing electricity, did not have any legal title to occupy the apartment on Via G. Vincon, which was managed by the Municipality of Rome to address the housing emergency. They thus owed the municipality €43.355,56 in unpaid occupancy fees and €11.063 to the electricity grid company for unaccounted energy.
In fact, based on what has emerged so far, the same people would have obtained the use of the property in 2006, following an agreed-upon "exchange" with the previous squatter, who in turn moved to another apartment offered to her by the current suspects and also illegally occupied by them. This operation was presumably aimed at reuniting the couple with their original family unit, which also lived in the building at Via Vincon 27.
The overall investigative findings allowed the investigating judge of the Rome Court to order the precautionary seizure of the property, with the aim of clearing it out and returning it to the managing body for assignment, according to the procedures established by the legislation for the public interest purposes underlying the management of real estate assets.
