Giffoni stops in Procida for a new chapter of the Safer Internet Centre – Generazioni Connesse project, a project co-financed by the European Commission as part of the Digital Europe program dedicated to the risks of the internet.
From 4 to 6 May, training activities, meetings and debates will be held with the participation of the forty young people of the Youth Panel, all aged between 14 and 18, who are the true ambassadors of the project which aims to raise awareness, inform, monitor and propose ideas to guarantee an ever-increasing level of safety in the online "environment".
After participating in the Safer Internet Day in Rome last February, the Procida stop represents the opportunity to explore the themes of the project in a suggestive setting of great cultural value. The island in the Gulf of Naples was the Italian Capital of Culture 2022, a recognition that earned it a lot of visibility and the possibility of giving life to a very important program of initiatives and events.
The three days will take place at the Palazzo D'Avalos in Procida, a historic building that dominates Terra Murata, an example of great value of the Neapolitan Renaissance.
It will start on Thursday, May 4th, at 15.30:5 pm, with training by the Teachers Panel of the project, experts who will have the opportunity to give advice to the kids on the new frontiers of online security with a multidisciplinary approach. This is an activity already carried out in other stages of the project and which includes the protagonism of the Youth Panel members who will have the opportunity to discuss in a free exchange of opinions and ideas. The training activity will continue on Friday, May 15.30th, again at XNUMX:XNUMX pm.
On the morning of Friday, May 5, starting at 10.30:6, the audiovisual workshop, curated by the Giffoni Production Department, entitled “Short Movie Lab” will be held. The workshop activities will continue on Saturday, May 10.30, starting at XNUMX:XNUMX. During the two meetings, all the phases of creating an audiovisual product will be addressed from a technical point of view, but also from the point of view of writing and production with particular reference to the creation of a short film.

To confirm how security on the Internet represents an increasingly current cultural issue”.
The SIC – Generazioni Connesse project is coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Merit with the partnership of the main Italian entities that deal with online safety: the Authority for the Guarantee of Childhood and Adolescence, the State Police, the Ministry of Culture, the Universities of Florence and 'La Sapienza' of Rome, Giffoni Experience, Save the Children Italia, Telefono Azzurro, the EDI onlus cooperative, Skuola.net.
