The Vesuvius National Park Authority has raised the alarm over the intention of some Napoli fans to celebrate the upcoming championship by organizing a simulation of the eruption of Vesuvius by lighting tricolor smoke bombs at the top of the crater.

The Park Authority considers this initiative " dangerous and impractical as it would be carried out in the heart of the park, in the maximum protection Zone A of a national park subject to different levels of protection at the national and community levels due to its vulnerability and importance in terms of biodiversity."
Therefore, please notify the Prefecture and the competent public order authorities, given the environmental and social danger of this eventuality. The authority requests that appropriate measures be taken to prevent intrusions into the Protected Area, which could potentially cause harm to people and property.
