Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi tweeted this about the British singer's presence in the city. He will meet with inmates in Secondigliano prison, from whom he will receive a guitar made from wood from boats that sank in Lampedusa, created by the inmates themselves as part of the Metamorfosi project of the Casa dello Spirito e delle Arti non-profit organization.
A project that embraces a social cause and is part of the Metamorfosi project, promoted by the Casa dello Spirito e delle Arti Foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Penitentiary Administration and the Excise, Customs and Monopolies Agency.
"The meeting with the inmates of Secondigliano confirms how music can unite and educate. I'm sure the Neapolitans will make him feel at home. Welcome, Sting," Manfredi concludes.
The artist, 17 Grammy winners and over 100 million records sold, arrived in Naples yesterday in great secrecy and headed towards the Vesuvio Hotel, on the Caracciolo seafront.
