The shows of MAY TO CHILDHOOD: the review of theatre made by the school, as the final moment of THEATRE SCHOOL TO SEE AND DO (TSVF), will be presented in front of an audience of students and families on Wednesday 3 May 2023 on the stage of the Teatro Karol in Castellammare di Stabia.
The project, born from an intuition of Morena Pauro, artistic curator of YOUNG theater review for the new generations of Le Nuvole for Casa del Contemporaneo, supported by Salvatore Guadagnuolo and Peppo Coppola of Agita, for the design and implementation of the laboratory courses in the classroom with students and teachers, and Giorgio Testa of Casa dello Spettatore of Rome, for the planning and management of the meetings on teaching vision, has arrived - with a baggage of over 8 years of experience in Naples - also in Castellammare di Stabia in 2023.
Thanks to the involvement of the Trianon Viviani Foundation, within the POC Regione Campania project, the Castellammare edition of TSVF focused in particular on the poetics and work of two Castellammare authors: Raffaele Viviani and Annibale Ruccello. An in-depth study, as usual for the project, not imposed from above but integrated with the ongoing educational path of the classes. 87 students involved, from 4 Castellammare schools, who – from January to June 2023 – attended 3 theatrical performances in the theatre space in via Allende during curricular hours, accompanied by as many meetings to approach the vision, and at school they created 5 laboratory meetings aimed at creating the performances protagonists of MAGGIO ALL'INFANZIA.
MAY CHILDREN'S PROGRAM at TK
“MAY TO CHILDHOOD brings together short performances and shows, conceived and staged by our students – Morena Pauro writes in a note – “Their thoughts that become words and gestures, embody dreams, fears and desires. On stage, deliberately, few theatrical elements, to leave all the space and attention to the girls, the boys, the only protagonists at the center of the project. The new generations tell their stories and they all deserve our attention. Let's listen to them!”.
Here is the program for Wednesday, May 3: on stage at 11 am “CANTANN E CUNTANN MIEZ' A VIA” by 3D Scuola Secondaria di I grado Stabiae, dedicated to teenagers who distinguish between “the pleasure of having fun” and “the duty to face life”, and “VOLO D'ALI” by 1A Costruzioni Ambiente Territorio dell' Istituto d'Istruzione Superiore Marco Pollione Vitruvio, a reflection on how to overcome loneliness “by being together, talking together, flying towards possible dreams having very strong roots”. The afternoon continues, at 16 pm, with “LIBERTY IS” by 2A Services for Health and Social Assistance of the Enzo Ferrari Higher Education Institute, a text on freedom, and its spaces in everyday life, which finds answers in being together and in common action, and “MY BROTHER WHO LOOKS AT THE WORLD” by 2N Graphics and Communication of the Renato Elia Industrial Technical Institute in which the aim was to build, train, complete and educate an empty space; where by emptiness we also mean the lack of all those values that make a woman and a man free beings.
The cornerstone of the project was the active participation of the teachers involved, in extracurricular hours, in an intense activity of study, laboratory, training and continuous research (recognized by the Ministry of Education and Merit by virtue of the accreditation of Le Nuvole as a training body), parallel and preparatory to the work with the students. Without forgetting the families of the participants who, thanks to the TSVF Card, were able to access, at a discounted price, the shows included in the theatrical review of the Tk of Castellammare di Stabia.
