Integration and social inclusion through Art. This is the focus of the meeting with the theme MUSEUMS AND INCLUSION that will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 16,30:9 pm at the Teatro di Palazzo Donn'Anna (Largo Donn'Anna, XNUMX), as part of the series of meetings "Narrating Museum Heritage".

The speeches will follow by Giovanni Minucci of the Social Cooperative Il Tulipano, Francesca D'Onofrio and Gianluca Bove of the Social Cooperative L'Orsa Maggiore. The meeting will be opened by Marina Colonna, President of the Ezio De Felice Foundation and by the introduction of Nadia Barrella, University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli and Gioconda Cafiero, DiArc University of Naples Federico II.
We start from the experiences already carried out and the future programs of the Capodimonte Museum, where accessibility is not only a structural issue but also a content issue, because to make museums inclusive it is not enough to eliminate architectural barriers. The challenge is to take care of and worry about museum use by providing the tools to experience the works on display; to create an intellectual and emotional mediation by organizing a specifically designed museum visit in which the person with disabilities can immerse themselves, in the effort to make them participate in the sensorial and cognitive content. A laboratory of emotions, therefore, where accessibility and use are understood as the possibility of experiencing the museum as a place of learning and discovery of new stimuli linked to the times, motivation and attention span of each individual.
Narrating the museum heritage is an initiative of the Ezio De Felice Foundation that arises from the collaboration with the Department of Letters and Cultural Heritage of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli and the DiArc-Department of Architecture of the University of Naples Federico II. The scientific referents for the two Academies are Professor Nadia Barrella and Professor Gioconda Cafiero.
