Shortly after midnight yesterday, the caretaker of the “R. Drengot” hotel institute in via Nobel in Aversa, in the province of Caserta, was awakened by the din from the school's perimeter alarm.
After hearing loud noises and realizing that there were people inside the building, he called “112”, requesting the intervention of the Carabinieri. The soldiers of the Cesa Station arrived immediately, surprising the thieves while they were trying to climb over the gate of the Institute to get away with the stolen goods.
The two, a 36-year-old and a 27-year-old, were stopped and found in possession of a tablet and 200 euros in coins, stolen shortly before, after having forced open the vending machines installed there. The subsequent search allowed them to find and seize a flashlight and burglary tools. The arrested were held in the security rooms of the Arma.
