"The Court of Appeal of Naples, with a ruling dated May 24, ordered Dema to reinstate the nine dismissed workers, for proven and declared anti-union conduct. In essence, the court of Naples accepts the thesis supported jointly by the legal offices of the metalworkers' unions of Cgil-Fiom Cisl-Fim Uil-Uilm".
This was announced by Uilm, with general secretary Crescenzo Auriemma and regional secretary Giovanni Rao. “According to the case law, Dema has instrumentally interpreted the union agreement, to definitively fire the nine workers. In the joint legal college, Uilm has availed itself of the assistance of Attorney Francesco Masi who will continue to provide legal representation and support in all legal venues.
Once the legal aspects have been clarified, it is now up to the union to press the Dema Group to share an industrial plan for the effective relaunch of the important corporate entity in the aeronautical sector aimed at the development and protection of employment by involving the institutional parties (MiMit and the Campania Region)”, concludes the note.
