The fans of the Napoli they never had any doubts about the fact that "Napoli", the trace of the then blond bob Nino D'Angelo, was their anthem, clearly distancing themselves from the competition that over the years, has held its own in the hearts of Neapolitans. But for some time now, the track that is usually sung and danced to in squares, clubs and events, as well as at the Maradona Stadium itself during pre-match sessions, is the official remix signed by the couple Gigi Soriani e Gigio Rosa (formerly DJ and voice of the Fuorigrotta stadium with Radio Marte), authors with Nino D'Angelo of a re-edit of the song, re-sung especially for the re-edit.
“When we heard the words of the President who made the track official as the team's anthem, we were very moved – said Gigi Soriani -. In our hearts as fans it has always been, and also in that of Nino who honored us by granting us the privilege of making it even more popular. We added the fans' chants, a sustained house beat that made it even more iconic and Nino sang it again with his unmistakable voice which, if we want, is always more beautiful and emotional”.
Gigio Rosa added, concluding: “Certainly an official blue anthem has been missing for too long: a gap has been filled, a circle has been closed. Now fans all over the world will have notes to identify with, together with the blue and the third scudetto. It really is everyone's song”.
Born as a soundtrack for the film “That boy from Curva B”, played by Nino D'Angelo, the track perfectly identifies the unbreakable relationship that has always characterized the Neapolitan and the fan: belonging and faith.
