Singer-songwriter Franco Ricciardi made a surprise visit to the women's prison in Pozzuoli . Just before Mother's Day, yesterday the artist accompanied the children of several inmates so they could join their mothers in giving them a rose. Ricciardi then performed, engaging everyone in attendance.
The facility was currently hosting a leg of "The Journey of Hope: Visiting Prisoners," a tour promoted by the Campania Criminal Chambers, the Nessuno tocchi Caino association, the Italian Forensic Movement, and Samuele Ciambriello, the Campania Prison Ombudsman . "It seemed like a kind gesture to both mothers and children, not being able to see each other every day. It must be difficult."
Ricciardi added: "We should always remember them and those experiencing hardship, not just during celebrations. But it's also true that during the holidays, memories and the desire to share become more intense. I'm happy to have brought a smile to the faces of the inmates at the Pozzuoli prison."
