Franco Ricciardi met the inmates of the Poggioreale penitentiary, the most overcrowded in Italy: more than an hour of concert, with the opening entrusted to Madama blu, then Prumesse Mancate, Treno.
The Neapolitan artist, applauded, retraced his thirty-year career and more, dusting off his main successes: Ieri, Parlame, Ammore senza core, Mia cugina. “We came to bring music where there is none – he told the inmates -, it was exciting, one of the most beautiful moments experienced in recent years, I'll wait for you beyond the wall”.
The artist then also sang 'I ragazzi della curva B', a tribute to the Napoli and an opportunity for the inmates to celebrate the championship. 167, the song dedicated to Scampia, the neighborhood where Franco grew up, was also applauded. Finally he got off the stage and went to sing with the inmates.
In recent months, Ricciardi had already been in the Nisida prison, then in the women's prison in Pozzuoli on Mother's Day. "I hope I have given a smile and shed light on the conditions of those who live locked up in prison," he said.
