This morning, around 8am, unknown armed individuals with their faces covered carried out a robbery in the post office on Via Stanzione in Frattamaggiore.
As reported by the Carabinieri, the director was kidnapped in his office while the robbers allegedly took away the sum kept in the safe.
The loot has yet to be quantified but it should exceed several hundred thousand euros. According to an initial hypothesis still being examined, the criminals entered through a hole made in the bathroom floor.
Investigations are underway by the Carabinieri of the Caivano company who are analyzing the images from the video surveillance system and are questioning all those present to obtain all the information on the robbery.
