“Disabitata” (L'Orto Records), the new single by Kiki Orsi, will be released on the radio, on digital platforms and in all digital stores on Friday 5 May.
A song written by Kiki Orsi, in an intimate version that blends the singer-songwriter's voice with Massimo Moriconi's double bass. In the studio, facing each other to capture the notes and give an emotional sense to the text in every part, in the softness and at times in the rhythm that touches melodic pop, jazz and swing in a continuum of accents given by the light stops and the sign of the words without ever losing the meaning of the harmony. A bit theatrical, a bit song, mixing everything in the most beautiful meaning of a deeply acoustic whole. Despair, revenge, rebirth, leaving behind the experience of a love, not living in one's own life, the need to slam the door of the past. All together, without retouching, just looking into each other's eyes.
"Disabitata" tells the story of how, at a certain point in my life, I no longer recognized what I was experiencing. I no longer recognized what was around me and, above all, what was inside me, " says Kiki Orsi. " I felt a strong urge to push myself to close that inner door that I had already seen slam shut by a great love. A loud and deafening sound, fast and piercing. Sad, yet, today, full of hope. Accompanying my voice and my feelings is a great double bass player, Massimo Moriconi, who was able to provide the right notes for my interpretation."

Kiki Orsi is now a singer-songwriter, after a journey dedicated to the project jazzincase.com, she is at her second single dedicated to herself. But not only that, she thinks in a universal way: "step, after step...after step, there is always time to understand.
The journey of life to have time to understand that it is not an endless void. Since she began writing her songs, she tries to personalize them even if it is not always understood why she adapts them in multiple languages. There are two reasons: the first is because she is good at it… (they say), the second is because each language, whether English, French, Italian or Portuguese, contains its own sound, irony, drama, beauty, sensuality, rhythm, dynamics. She feels “miss why not?” She says of herself: “I love my music, it took time and experience (a lot of hard work and apprenticeship, I have been everywhere in the world)”.
In the meantime, she has closed her eyes to her usual shyness by coming out with a second single alone, without protection, without a project other than herself and with images that today she feels are hers, starting with the digital cover of the single "Step by step ... by step". She began singing as a child and step by step she made her path studying in America and then singer, chorister, leader of international and non-international groups, and today finally singer-songwriter.
