La Civil protection of Region Campania has issued a notice of Alert weather color yellow valid from 14 am to 21 pm today throughout the region. The notice highlights that “they are possible temporal sudden, but rapid and intense. These are phenomena connected to conditions of significant atmospheric instability: characterized by forecast uncertainty and rapidity of evolution, but also, on a local scale, by particular intensity”.
"Lightning, hail and gusts of wind may also occur. There is a possible hydrogeological risk due to storms with flooding, rising water levels of watercourses, water flow on roads, runoff with transport of material, falling rocks or landslides in fragile territories. Due to the characteristics of this disturbance, pay attention also to the risk of damage to roofs and temporary structures as well as falling branches or trees".
La Civil protection of Region Campania recommends to the competent authorities "to activate the Municipal Operations Centers and to implement all measures to prevent, counteract and mitigate the expected phenomena in line with the respective municipal civil protection plans. It is noted, in consideration of the gusts of wind and possible hailstorms - the notice concludes - the need to ensure the correct maintenance of public greenery and temporary structures exposed to atmospheric events".
