A great comeback for former 666 member Marco Gesualdi. Four years after the album “NOW Naples Open Words”, the Neapolitan guitarist and instrumental composer returns with a work full of collaborations.
The album entitled “Ho Piantato un Albero” will be released on May 5th by Clapo Music/Marechiaro Edizioni Musicali of the producer Claudio Poggi, in collaboration with the Centro Musica Yellow Submarine, and is preceded by the song of the same name which features Simona Boo (voice of 99 Posse, Comoverao, Passione tour) and Maurizio Capone (leader of BungtBangt).

“Ho Piantato un Albero” will be presented with a concert on Saturday 6 May during the event “Planta, il giardino e non solo”; an event dedicated to plants and the environment curated by the Federico II University which takes place at the Botanical Garden of Naples.
The live showcase, introduced by journalist Michelangelo Iossa, will be free to enter starting at 16 pm and promises to be a great celebration of music and nature, in one of the most evocative and fascinating places in Naples.
The concert will be enriched by the presence of special guests who collaborated in the writing of the songs, among these we find the singer Simona Boo, the percussionist and eco pioneer singer Maurizo Capone.
The eleven songs that make up “Ho Piantato un albero” were written with the intent of giving voice to the value of nature and to an “inner ecosystem”, Marco presents himself as a “gardener of the soul”, a concept born from a deep moment of reflection, projected towards the search for the essence.
The album is characterized by an original and engaging sound mood, ranging from pop to jazz, from acoustic to electronic and as Gesualdi himself states: "the songs are eleven young trees to give shelter, fruit, roots and good air to everyone".
The songs represent a “gesture-action”, they have the function of root but also of antenna, with vibrations that sway between earth and sky as if from the depths of the soul to the metaphysical. In short, it is an album of songs, many of these born from a creative collaboration with other musicians such as Rossella Rizzaro, Eleonora Gesualdi, Silvia Romano, Maria Pia De Vito and Marcello Coleman.
And again with Simona Boo, Maurizio Capone of BungtBangt, who sang and played the percussions he invented, Francesco Paolo Manna played the frame drums and the ethnic percussions; Francesca Diletta Iavarone plays the flute, Riccardo Veno the soprano sax, Paolo Licastro the tenor sax, Gianfranco Campagnoli the trumpet and the flugelhorn, Michele Signore the viola and the pontiaca lyre, Gianni Guarracino the flamenco guitar, Enzo Caponnetto the electric guitar, Roberthinho Bastos the Brazilian percussions, Enrico Del Gaudio the drums, and again on the drums, guests in two songs, Carmine Brachi and Carletto di Gennaro who also took care of the mix.
Giosi Cincotti on keyboards, and in one song Lello Petrarca, while on bass Guido Russo and in one song Roberto Giangrande. In the lyrics Marco also collaborated with Carlo Procope, Maria Totaro, and Alessandro Pacella. The cover graphics were curated by Ester Santamaria, the mastering is by Bob Fix.
The album is dedicated to Lucio Lo Gatto.
